Thursday Club
(formerly known as
Tuesday Club)
What is Thursday Club?
Thursday Club is an in-store club
that meets on the first Thursday of each month at 10am, 11am,
12noon and 1pm, beginning in
February and ending on the first Thursday in November and on the
first Saturday of the month at 9am, only. The
initial sign-up fee is $20. Each month you'll receive a pattern
(or two) and fabric football (that's a 6 1/2" wide strip by
WOF)* as part of that month's project. Bring one completed
block to the next month's meeting and receive the next fabric
football
and pattern free! A brief demonstration will be given for that month's
block every hour on the hour starting at 10am through 1pm or
on the first Saturday of the month at 9am, only. (You'll do
the sewing at home.) At the last meeting in November we will
reveal the finished quilt and hand out finishing directions.
Here's the catch—you must bring a completed
block to the next meeting or pay $5 for the next one. No
exceptions! Your $5 is donated to the local food pantry!
What if I can't make it on
the Thursday meetings or Saturday meeting but my block is done?
The pattern will be available at any time during the month
but if you don't show up on the first Thursday of the month
or on the first Saturday,
you'll have to make the $5 donation to get your pattern and
fabric.
Can I send in my
block with a friend?
Nope.
*Do I have to use
the fabric I get each month in the quilt?
Absolutely not!
The fabric you get is for
you to use or not use in the quilt. Save it for another
block or add it to your stash at home. We encourage
participants to "make" the quilt their own!
Can I get a peek at
the quilt?
Well, no...that's
part of the fun! The Thursday Club quilt is revealed month by
month. (Of course, as the year goes on you'll see more and
more....) Check out previous years' Thursday Club quilts
below.
How do I join?
Joining is easy!
To get in on the fun, just come into the store and sign-up
for a $20 fee. Sign up by January 31 and the fee is
only $15! Then, starting February 1, 2024 (or Saturday,
February 3 at 9am) come into the
store for a brief demonstration on that month's block (or
two).
Demonstrations are held on the hour starting at 10am with
the last one at 1:00pm.
